Inside, the liquid supplied at the liquid's surface is instantly dispersed in an upward or downward direction. The concentration inside the reactor is mixed uniformly within a very short time. Maxblend for mixing is great: it has a mixing performance than the conventional low-viscosity impeller and high-viscosity impeller in terms of mixing time under the same power consumption condition. In solid-liquid mixing operations such as crystallization and suspension polymerization, the solid particles are sometimes physically broken due to the high rpm mixing impeller in the liquid. The generation of broken small particle leads to a load up of the dehydrating dryer and powder after drying in the downstream process.

The Maxblend technology brings many more advantages like those referring to gas distribution property, or solid dispersion property.  With Maxblend, due to the stable upward flow along the reactor vessel, the impeller maintains a high heat transfer at all levels of the reactor vessel. A conventional impeller shows a higher heat transfer coefficient than Maxblend at the same level, but less heat transfer is seen at several levels apart from the impeller.
